Description

A pressure immobilisation bandage is the treatment for a snake or funnel-web bite, and the mistake almost everyone makes is applying it too loosely. The SMART Snake Bandage in this kit carries printed markings showing the correct tension, which is the item that separates it from a generic kit and the reason it belongs in the bag that walks through bush to a shore entry. Around it sit a CPR kit, gloves, tweezers, antiseptic wipes and an emergency blanket for shock and hypothermia. This is the mid-sized kit in the range, fitting a backpack, glovebox or handbag and carrying a MOLLE attachment system for a pack or vehicle mount. Water resistance, heavy zips and a surface that wipes down cover the outside; inside, everything is colour-coded and numbered so a restock is a matter of matching numbers. Space is left blank for whatever medication the owner carries themselves. The Compact is smaller and the Vehicle kit larger. It suits a shore diver, hiker or anyone off the tar.
