Description

No air cell, no inflator, no dump valve and no weight system, which means there is nothing on it to service. This is a bare cylinder pack, a moulded plate with a tank band and a shoulder harness, and it is what a cylinder rides on when the buoyancy comes from somewhere else. It carries a single cylinder against the diver's back and does nothing beyond that, which is why SCUBAPRO list it under BC accessories rather than in the BCD range. That suits pool sessions, confined-water skills and surface-supplied or hookah work, where a full BCD adds cost and clutter for no gain. A dive school also does well to keep one as a spare, since a cracked rental backplate takes a jacket out of service faster than a torn bladder does. It is supplied as one assembly with the straps fitted, in black, in a single size. It is not a BCD and offers no buoyancy control, so it must not stand in for one on an open water dive. It suits pool work, training and hookah diving.
