Big Blue HL450N Narrow Beam Head Light

Description

An 8 degree beam on a head light is an unusual combination, because most are made to flood the area in front of a diver rather than to reach. This one reaches: the narrow cone puts its 450 lumens into a column that carries down a passage or along a line, which is what a cave or wreck diver actually wants from a hands-free light. Four levels give 450 lumens for 2 hours, 225 for 4, 113 for 8 and 45 for 20, from a Cree LED at 6500K cool white, running on three AAA alkaline cells so a replacement can be bought anywhere. It weighs 187 grams with cells in and sits 56 grams negative, on a polycarbonate body with an aluminium alloy light head, tested to 100 metres. A head strap ships in the box. It suits a diver who needs reach rather than spread, hands-free.
