Apeks Hose Flexi Octopus 3/8"

Description

An octopus hangs unused for every dive but one, so the lighter and more supple it is, the less it pulls the rig out of trim while it waits. This is the Apeks flexi hose in yellow, braided rather than rubber. On a travel trip it saves weight and packs smaller than the rubber equivalent. On a recreational rig it lets the octopus sit where it is clipped instead of springing out of its retainer. On an out of gas ascent the yellow makes it obvious which regulator a buddy should take. On a service it replaces a yellow hose gone hard or faded, which coloured rubber does sooner than black. The 3/8 inch UNF fitting goes onto any Apeks first stage. It suits a diver building a lighter rig without losing the octopus colour convention.
