HOSE HOLDER
The Aqua Lung hose holder is a moulded retainer that fixes a hose to the harness of a buoyancy compensator and keeps it there. A trailing hose is the most common way a diver damages a reef, snags a wreck or arrives at the surface having dragged a gauge across the bottom for the whole dive.
The holder takes a low pressure inflator hose, a gauge hose or an octopus hose and clips it against the webbing so that the hose runs where the diver put it. It mounts on existing harness webbing rather than needing a fixed point, so it can be moved along the strap until the hose sits at a natural angle for the arm that reaches it. The part is a single moulding with nothing to corrode, which is the correct construction for something that lives in salt water and gets rinsed rather than serviced.
The result is a tidier rig, less drag, and one less thing hanging where a hand or a fin can catch it.
Supplied in black and sold singly. Most divers fit two or three, one for each hose that would otherwise trail. It is a retainer rather than a lock, so a hose can still be pulled free deliberately when it is needed.
