Description

Standing on a steel deck in thin socks costs a diver more heat than the first ten minutes of the dive does, and that loss is hard to recover once the suit is sealed. Three layers of fleece sit under the sole for exactly that reason, concentrating the insulation on the surface pressed against cold ground. These are the warmest socks the brand makes. The outer layer is water-resistant and extends to mid calf, so a splash on the deck or a wet drysuit leg does not soak straight through to the insulation underneath, and the fabric is the Thermocline construction made with ECONYL recycled nylon. A ribbed top holds them in place beneath a drysuit legging. Six UK sizes run 3-4 through 13-14, black throughout. Pull Xerotherm socks on underneath for more warmth again, or take Arctic Socks for a two-layer build with a removable liner. They go inside a drysuit boot rather than replacing one. It suits a diver who gets cold feet before the dive starts.
