Description

Two fabrics, each doing one job. Smooth-skin 1 mm neoprene sits across the torso where heat is lost, and high-stretch nylon takes the sides, sleeves and collar where the arms have to move, which is how a garment this thin pulls on under a wetsuit without bunching at the shoulder. Under the nylon a micro-plush fleece takes on less water than a plain lining, keeping warmth against the body and drying fast. The practical result is an extra dive out of the same suit: in Cape water in October a 5 mm worn over this reaches temperatures that would otherwise call for something thicker, and the top packs down to nothing in a kit bag. On the surface the sleeves keep the sun off the arms between dives. The men's cut has no zipper, where the women's version adds one. Six sizes run S to 3XL. On its own it suits snorkelling, swimming and paddle boarding in warm water. Supplied to special order. It suits a man wanting more out of a wetsuit he already owns.
