The SCUBAPRO Hydros Core is the minimalist version of the Hydros Pro: same dual-compound backplate approach, lower lift capacity, and no integrated weight system or trim weight pockets. That is a deliberate choice rather than a cost saving, and it suits divers who use a weight belt and want the least bulk in a bag.

The backplate has a rigid core for stability with a soft over-moulded Monprene exterior against the back. A Tri-Bungee two-stage inflation system controls where air sits, keeping the bladder compact under water and giving full lift at the surface. The Torso Flex Zone adjusts to torso length, so one size covers a wider range of body shapes than a fixed harness would. This version ships with the balanced power inflator.
