Hydros Pro Cargo Pocket

Description

Salt kills zips, and velcro fills with sand until it stops holding. Neither appears anywhere on this pocket, which is why a working instructor can load it in the morning and leave it loaded all season. Closure is a large protective overflap on an easy-open squeeze buckle, worked in one movement by a gloved hand and holding the contents through the dive. Mounting is quick: the pocket hooks onto the D-ring below the weight pockets and wraps the thigh on a wide adjustable webbing strap, so it goes on and comes off with the harness left threaded. Carrying the load down on the leg keeps the chest clear, which leaves the inflator and gauges where hands expect them. Room inside covers instructor slates, torches, marker buoys, a spare mask or a compact camera. Because it hangs from a ring rather than the Multi-Mount Matrix, any harness with a suitable ring will take it. Nothing about it is watertight. It suits an instructor or any diver carrying kit every dive.
