RED FILTER FOR X2, HD2 AND DUB

Description

Underwater footage turns blue and green as a diver descends, because red light is the first colour the water filters out, and Intova notes that red only carries about 15 to 20 feet, roughly 4.5 to 6 m. The Intova Red Filter puts the red spectrum back into photos and video shot below that depth. It is a 42 mm slip-on filter made for Intova's X2, HD2 and DUB cameras, so it goes on and comes off quickly between shots. The filter itself is acrylic, held in an aluminium ring frame with a silicone O-ring, and a neoprene and plastic lanyard secures it to the housing to prevent accidental loss. It weighs 20 g and measures 4.8 x 1.3 cm. On a tropical reef at 12 m, it brings back the warm colours of corals and fish in ambient light. It suits an Intova X2, HD2 or DUB owner filming in blue water without video lights.
