IST Folding BC Knife

Description

A fixed blade on the leg is one more thing to snag, and the IST Folding BC Knife folds down to 12 cm so it can live in a BC pocket until it is needed. Opened out it measures 21 cm, long enough to saw through rope or a tangle of line around a mooring. The blade is stainless steel and the black handle gives a sure grip with wet hands. A lanyard comes with the knife, so it can be tied off to a D-ring and pulled out of the pocket without the risk of dropping it into the blue. On a boat it doubles as a general cutting tool for cable ties and bait bags between dives. Folding knives do need a rinse in fresh water after each trip so salt does not build up in the hinge. It suits divers who want a compact cutting tool in the BC pocket rather than a sheath on the leg.
