Proteus Anti-Fog Mask

Description

A fogged mask ends the view long before the dive ends, so the IST Proteus comes with an anti-fog film already on the inside of its twin lenses. Before first use the matte protective layer comes off, and after that a rinse before each dive is all the film needs, with fresh water only for cleaning and no detergent. The lenses sit close to the eyes, which gives a larger field of view than many masks while keeping the internal volume super low. For freediving that low volume means less air spent equalising the mask on the way down, and IST rates it among its best masks for that job. The strap buckles attach to the skirt rather than the frame, so they stay clear of the face and help divers with wider faces get a good seal. On a scuba or snorkelling trip the white skirt and purple frame stand out in a kit crate and in a photo. It suits scuba and breath-hold divers who want a low-volume mask that stays clear without spray.
