Description

Open water swimming has one safety requirement above all others, which is being seen from a boat. The Karua is built around that: fluorescent sleeves, an upper back panel and ankles, all placed where they break the surface on a stroke and are visible from a distance. The name and the sleeve graphics come from the Karua caldera in the Vanuatu archipelago, the lava pattern being the reason for the colour rather than a decoration added to it. Construction is 3 mm ultrastretch neoprene, nylon covered smooth on both faces, giving flexibility, UV protection and protection against scratches with complete freedom of movement. The whole suit was modelled in 3D software on virtual mannequins, which let Cressi study fit and sizing without producing sample collections, a real reduction in waste rather than a claim about one. Four sizes from XS to L. It suits a woman swimming, snorkelling, surfing, paddling or canyoning in a thin hybrid suit.
