Description

Chafing at the neck is what stops most long open water swims, and no amount of lubricant fixes a neckline cut in the wrong place. The Kuwae uses a new low neckline designed specifically to avoid friction there while still holding the suit in position. The rest is built for distance: 2.0 mm high-density hyperstretch neoprene for comfort with UV and scratch protection, and a smooth exterior finish carrying Glide Skin XT waterproof treatment, which is where its hydrodynamics come from. The fluorescent upper section takes its colour from the lava of the Kuwae caldera in the Vanuatu archipelago and does the practical work of making a swimmer visible from a boat. It was designed entirely in 3D on virtual mannequins, which let Cressi study material fit and sizing without producing sample collections. Supplied in size M. That answers a long open water swim, a training session and a race. It suits a man swimming distance in open water.
