Lalizas Floating Fog Horn

Description

A mouth-blown horn needs no gas canister or batteries, and the Lalizas Floating Fog Horn reaches a maximum sound level of 105 dB with nothing more than a breath. It is made of high-density polyethylene, floats if it goes over the side and measures 300 mm long with an 80 mm bell. Kept in a rubber duck's console, it gives the skipper a sound signal for poor visibility without relying on a canister that may have leaked down over winter. On a kayak or a small sailing dinghy it makes a light backup to a whistle. Dive boat crews can use it to hail surfaced divers while the engine idles nearby.
