Lalizas Encapsulated Lifebuoy Rescue Line 30 m

Description

A lifebuoy without a line can drift away from the boat with the casualty holding on, and the Lalizas Encapsulated Lifebuoy Rescue Line keeps the two connected. It packs 30 m of 8 mm rope with a 500 kg breaking load into a UV-resistant polyethylene tube that fits into the centre of a Lalizas lifebuoy ring. Lalizas states it complies with SOLAS requirements and publishes an assembly guide for fitting it to the 73 cm SOLAS ring and the Lalizas ring container. On a commercial dive boat or a charter vessel, the ring and its line come off the bracket as one unit and are thrown together. At a marina or jetty station, the tube keeps the line stowed and untangled until the day it is needed. The whole unit measures 480 x 130 x 80 mm and weighs 950 g. It suits skippers and marina operators who want a lifebuoy and line ready to throw as one.
