LEG3ND MBS + PRO HD MEN SET

This Aqua Lung set pairs the Leg3nd MBS Pack with the wrap-around Pro HD jacket in the men’s cut, and adds the Combo 2K console. Its second stage combines Venturi and inhalation-effort control into one knob, the Master Breathing System.

The Master Breathing System moves both settings together along a curve Aqua Lung sets, so one gloved rotation covers what two knobs would take. Work of breathing is 0.7 j/L. The over-balanced DIN 300 bar first stage weighs 747 g and carries two 7/16 inch UNF high-pressure ports and four 3/8 inch UNF medium-pressure ports. The Leg3nd Octopus rides on a yellow hose. The Pro HD is cut from ResisteK against abrasion and fading, integrates its lead through the patented SureLock II release, and sets cylinder height on a positioning strap. The Combo 2K console adds a 50 mm pressure gauge and an in-line depth gauge on one 80 cm hose, weighing 389 g.

The result is a top-tier regulator that can be retuned mid-dive with one gloved hand, on a buoyancy compensator sized to the diver rather than to shop stock. Nothing in it was chosen later to fill a gap.

Sizing follows the Pro HD Men, XS to XL, roughly 100 g a step; the rest is one size. Cylinder, computer, weights and exposure protection are separate. The women’s Pro HD and the back-inflation Pro HD Compact are the other cuts. At R37,588 the set saves R9,397.01 on the parts bought singly.
