Description

Gas put into a closed bag at depth stays there as the bag climbs, and it expands on the way, so a bag rigged neutral on the bottom keeps gaining lift as it rises. That is why a lift is staged rather than ridden: rig the load, add gas in small amounts, then stand clear and let the bag go. A diver still attached goes up with it, and that is how lift bag accidents read in the incident reports. This bag is rated at 30 kg, which is the load it will carry and no more; anything heavier calls for a second bag, not more gas in this one. It is a closed design, so nothing spills from an open skirt. It is supplied as the bag alone, with line, reel, shackles and strops all the diver's own rigging. Lifting is a trained skill and the training comes before the purchase. It suits a trained diver recovering an object from the bottom.
