Description

The tool most likely to be needed in an entanglement is the one that can be used with a single hand, without looking, and without any risk of cutting the diver as well as the line. A line cutter is that tool: the blade is recessed behind a safety design, so it takes monofilament and rope but cannot stab a suit, a buoyancy cell or a hand. This one is 176 mm long with a 36 mm blade, small enough to carry permanently and be forgotten about. The sheath mounts on a harness rig or a BCD, with Velcro on the blade strap and a 60 by 90 mm case that also attaches by Velcro to harnesses and belts. That mounting flexibility is what decides whether it ends up somewhere reachable rather than in a pocket. It suits a diver who wants a cutting tool that carries no risk of its own.
