Children come out of the water because they are cold or because something stung them, and a shorty with bare arms addresses only half of that. The long-sleeve Little Shark covers the arms as well, which is where most jellyfish contact happens when a child is swimming rather than diving, and Cressi state plainly that the suit is effective protection against jellyfish. It works dry as well as wet, shielding against sun and weather on a boat or a beach where a child would otherwise be burning. The front zip is what makes it usable: quick to get on and off without an adult wrestling it over the head, and it minimises water getting in once fastened. The fabric is a highly elastic special blend with neoprene, so it moves rather than restricting. Sizes cover ages 3/4 to 15/16. It suits a child swimming or snorkelling who needs sun and sting protection.
