Long Double Clip for One Inch Ball

Description

The standard double clip joins two balls at the shortest distance the fitting allows, which is usually right, but not when a light needs to clear a dome port or an arm has to route around a housing. The long version adds that clearance without introducing another joint, and every joint on a rig is somewhere a light can creep out of aim. It closes on two one inch balls, the industry standard fitting, so it works across brands rather than only with Big Blue equipment, joining an arm to a tray, a light to an arm, or two arm sections. Once tightened it holds against the drag of a swimming diver, which is the only test that matters. It is finished in black. That answers a large dome port, an awkward housing shape and a rig with a routing problem. It suits a photographer needing extra reach in one clamp.
