Description

Bubbles leaving a second stage directly beside the face are a nuisance on a photograph and a real problem under a silty ceiling, where they knock percolation down onto the diver. The long exhaust tee moves them further out and away. Apeks build the XTX exhaust to be diver changeable for exactly this reason, so it is a swap rather than a service. On a photography dive it clears the frame. On a cave or wreck dive it keeps bubbles off the ceiling directly overhead. On a compact rig the standard short exhaust is the better choice, which is why both exist. The kit covers left and right hand configurations, so it suits a second stage plumbed either way. It fits Apeks XTX second stages. It suits a photographer or overhead diver wanting bubbles diverted wide, and the short exhaust remains the compact option.
