Apeks Luna Primary 2000 Lumens

Description

Guessing how much burn time is left is how divers end up on a backup torch halfway through a night dive. The Luna carries a digital run time indicator that reports remaining time and percentage charged, so the decision is made on data rather than optimism. Output is 2000 lumens from three white XPL2 LEDs in a 20 degree spot beam, with three power settings and three further run time programmes. On a night dive it runs eight hours on low or two on high. On a deep dive it is rated IPX8 to 100 metres. On a long dive the neoprene wrist attachment holds it hands free, which matters when both hands are on a reel. The 8700 mAh battery charges through the case over USB in four hours, so the torch never opens. At 258 grams it travels easily. It suits a diver who wants a serious primary torch.
