M25 230 bar Z Valve

Description

A cylinder valve is the one component between a diver and their gas, and it is also the part most often left in service long past the point where its o-rings and seat should have been replaced. This is an Aqua Lung M25 valve rated to 230 bar in the Z pattern, supplied as a complete valve rather than as a service part. M25 refers to the thread that screws into the cylinder neck, and it is not interchangeable with other thread standards, so the cylinder it is destined for must be confirmed first: fitting a valve to the wrong thread is a serious matter rather than an inconvenience. Valve replacement is work for a qualified cylinder technician and is normally done at test, when the cylinder is already out of service. That answers a failed test, a cylinder being returned to service, and a fleet being standardised on one valve. It suits a technician or a centre replacing a cylinder valve.
