Mares Atlas 62X + Rover Tech Set

Description

Cold water tends to find the weak point in a rig, usually the regulator, so this set puts the all-metal Mares Atlas 62X on the Mares Rover Tech backplate BCD. Mares recommends its all-metal second stage for extremely cold water, and the large pivoting purge button can be pressed through thick gloves. The 62X first stage adds a DFC port for high airflow at any depth, pre-oriented ports and Auto Sealing Technology to keep it dry. The Rover Tech mounts a 1000 denier Cordura bladder with over 150 N of lift on a 3 mm anodised aluminium backplate, with a fully adjustable harness in one size. An octopus is not part of the set, so one must be fitted before diving. That covers a diver moving from a jacket to a backplate, a centre's premium rental rig, and cooler local dives. It suits a diver building a backplate rig around a capable regulator.
