Mares Avanti Quattro Power Fins

Description

A long freediving fin is awkward on a scuba boat, and a short reef fin feels underpowered once a diver starts spending time in apnea. The Avanti Quattro Power sits between the two: a full foot fin with four channels and rubber-covered side ribs that spring the blade back and protect it from cuts and abrasion on rocks. In the black version the blade is 45.5 cm long with 960 sq cm of thrust area in size 42/43, which gives a scuba diver more push into a current than a standard reef fin. For a freediver or spearfisher on a shallow reef it is shorter and quicker to turn than a long-blade fin, and Mares note that it makes little noise when it knocks against rock. The soft anatomical foot pocket with a reinforced heel can be worn barefoot or over a neoprene sock. It comes in Black, Camo Green and Yellow. It suits a diver who mixes scuba with shallow freediving and wants one full foot fin for both.
