Description

A diver buying a first pair of open heel fins usually wants enough power for the occasional current without paying for a technical blade. The Avanti Superchannel OH provides that through a three-channel Tecralene blade that arches during the kick and pushes water backwards instead of letting it spill off the edges, so more of each kick becomes forward movement. On a current-swept reef it has enough blade, 37 cm in size R, to hold position beside a pinnacle. On a relaxed coral dive a gentle flutter kick is enough to cruise. With wetsuit boots, the open anatomical foot pocket and elastic strap handle a rocky shore entry as comfortably as a giant stride off a boat. It suits a new or returning diver looking for a durable, efficient open heel fin to wear with boots.
