Mares Dual 15X + Rover Tech Set

Description

A first regulator should be light to carry and easy to breathe, and this set puts the Mares Dual 15X on the Mares Rover Tech backplate BCD. The whole regulator weighs 919 g in DIN, and its ultralight technopolymer Dual second stage uses Vortex Assisted Design and a curved bypass for natural breathing at any depth. The 15X balanced diaphragm first stage has a sandblasted finish, pre-oriented ports and a DFC port, and the large purge button works in thick gloves. The Rover Tech mounts a 1000 denier Cordura bladder with over 150 N of lift on a 3 mm anodised aluminium backplate, with a fully adjustable harness in one size. An octopus is not part of the set, so one must be fitted before diving. That covers a diver trying backplate diving for the first time, a centre wanting a daily rig, and training that sees heavy use. It suits a diver moving onto a backplate on a budget.
