Mares Flexshell Mask

Description

On a deep freedive every millilitre of air in the mask has to be equalised from the lungs, and a rigid frame keeps that volume fixed however far down the diver goes. The FlexShell drops the frame altogether: it is frameless and foldable, with ultra-minimal internal volume, and the mask body adapts to the face as it changes shape with increasing pressure, so it asks for minimal equalisation effort. An anatomical skirt gives a secure seal, and an embossed nose grip is shaped to work with a freediving nose clip. On a line training session it saves air on the way down. On a competition or depth course it removes one variable from the dive. On a travel trip it folds up, light and easy to carry. The hydrodynamic profile also reduces drag on long swims between drops. It suits a freediver training for depth who wants a frameless, ultra-low volume mask.
