Mares Planet 88X + Magellan HD She Dives Set

Description

The Planet 88X is the regulator Mares built to rethink how a second stage breathes, and this set puts it on the Mares Magellan HD She Dives women's BCD. The Planet 88X uses Airmatic technology, which replaces the springs in the second stage with a pneumatic valve driven by intermediate pressure, inside an all-metal case with a manual override. The 88X first stage comes in DIN with a TBP Dry Kit that environmentally seals it for icy or silty water, and weighs 786 g. The Magellan HD She Dives has a female-specific fit and ergonomic shoulder construction, 180 N of back-mounted lift, and removable weight and trim pockets for fine balance. No octopus is included, so an alternate air source has to be added before the rig is dived. That covers cold ocean and quarry dives, a drysuit diver who wants a BCD that fits, and deeper dives where breathing effort counts. It suits a woman who wants a BCD cut for her and a regulator for cold, deep water.
