Mares Planet 88X + Rover BCD Set

Description

The Planet 88X is the regulator Mares built to rethink how a second stage breathes, and this set puts it on the Mares Rover jacket. The Planet 88X uses Airmatic technology, which replaces the springs in the second stage with a pneumatic valve driven by intermediate pressure, inside an all-metal case with a manual override. The 88X first stage comes in DIN with a TBP Dry Kit that environmentally seals it for icy or silty water, and weighs 786 g. The Rover jacket is UV-protected 1000 denier Cordura, with lift rising from 140 N in XXS to 240 N in XXL, height-adjustable shoulder buckles and pockets shaped for the octopus and gauge. No octopus is included, so an alternate air source has to be added before the rig is dived. That covers a dive centre building a premium rental rig, cold quarry training, and a diver who wants top breathing on a simple jacket. It suits a diver who puts the budget into the regulator and keeps the jacket simple.
