Description

Renting a computer on every trip leaves a diver learning a new screen each time, and the Mares Puck 4 is a simple computer to own from the first logged dive. Its Buhlmann ZH-L16C algorithm takes adjustable gradient factors, and a single button runs the menus. On a reef holiday, the 800-segment chip-on-glass display reads at a glance, and Bluetooth sends a logbook of up to 100 dives, with graphs, to the Mares app. On a nitrox course it handles air and nitrox, and it manages up to three gases when training moves on. For a shore dive where only depth and time are wanted, the bottom timer adds a resettable average depth and a stopwatch. The user-replaceable CR2450 battery lasts up to 100 dives, the strap swaps for a bungee, and it fits the Mares Mission console. It suits a new or returning diver buying a first computer with room to grow.
