Mares Raptor Fins

Description

Split fins suit divers who find a stiff paddle blade hard on the knees and hips, because the split lets the blade flex and eases the load on each kick. The Raptor is the Mares open heel split fin, built from a combination of materials. Its Whale Tail foot pocket is shaped to carry energy from the foot into the blade, upper and lower stabilisers keep the two halves of the blade steady, and ribs on the foot pocket add support. The strap fastens with ABS Plus buckles. On a relaxed reef dive it moves easily with a short flutter kick. For a snorkeller covering distance at the surface it keeps the effort down. For a diver coming back to the water after a break it is a gentler start than a rigid blade. As an open heel fin it is worn with dive boots. It suits a recreational diver who flutter kicks and wants an easy-going open heel fin.
