Mares SLS Slide & Lock Weight Pockets (Pair)

Description

Pushing a weight pocket home and hoping it latched is how lead ends up on the seabed, and the SLS system replaces the guesswork with a signal. As the pocket slides in, its holding prongs are pushed into position and blocked from retracting. A push on the slider then locks it with a loud click, and a green closed padlock replaces a red open one in a small window. A large handle and a guide tunnel on the jacket line the buckle up, so it works in thick gloves, and the release pulls the prongs inwards so the pocket comes out cleanly. Mares rates the small set at 4 kg and the large set at 6 kg, each with a heavy-duty zip. That covers replacing a lost pocket, moving to the large size for cold water, and a centre keeping spares for its SLS jackets. They suit a diver whose Mares BCD is built for the SLS weight system.
