Mares SXS 62X + Rock Pro Set

Description

Plenty of divers already own an octopus, or want to choose one to suit how they route their hoses, so this set covers the two big purchases on their own: regulator and jacket. The Mares SXS 62X uses what Mares calls the smallest first stage in diving, 63 mm and 464 g in DIN, sealed against water ingress by Auto Sealing Technology. Its SXS second stage is the most compact Mares makes, with a curved bypass for high airflow and the option to take the hose from either side. The Rock Pro jacket expands outwards from the harness instead of squeezing the chest, carries its lead in quick-release integrated pockets and weighs 3.1 to 3.4 kg depending on size. No octopus is included, so an alternate air source has to be added before the rig is dived. That covers a diver keeping an existing octopus, a traveller packing light, and a first rig built in stages. It suits a diver who wants the regulator and BCD matched and the octopus chosen separately.
