Mares SXS 62X + Tactical Green Set

Description

Cave and wreck courses ask for a simple, rugged rig, and this set supplies the backplate system and regulator together. The Mares Tactical Green single backmount set is a complete mounted rig: a 140 N single tank donut with a 3 mm aluminium backplate and 6 mm aluminium D-rings in tactical green. A fully adjustable webbing harness and a K-style inflator with metal buttons complete it, at 3.1 kg. The SXS 62X regulator pairs what Mares calls the smallest first stage in diving, 63 mm and 464 g in DIN with Auto Sealing Technology, with the compact SXS second stage. No octopus is included, so the diver can fit the long hose and alternate air source their training agency requires. That covers a first cave or wreck course, a diver moving from a jacket into backmount, and a trip where the rig has to be light to carry. It suits a diver stepping into technical training with a single cylinder.
