Description
A holiday mask spends as much time in a beach bag as on a face, and the frameless Mares Tropical is built for that. There is no rigid frame to crack, only a single lens set into a soft silicone body. Without a frame it packs easily and sits low, and the one-piece window gives an unbroken view of the reef below. Ten bright colours make it simple to tell whose mask is whose on a boat full of family kit. Buckles with soft silicone buttons adjust quickly on the surface. For a snorkeller on a week at a resort it is light at 181 g, and for a diver on an easy shallow holiday dive the soft face piece stays comfortable. Corrective lenses are not available for this model, so a diver who needs a prescription should look at the X-Vision or Force-X ranges. It suits a snorkeller or holiday diver who wants a soft, packable single-lens mask.
