Mares XR Dead Bolt Snap Pro

Description

Clipping a stage cylinder to a D-ring in thick dry gloves is where cheap bolt snaps show their limits, and the Dead Bolt Snap Pro was shaped around that task. Its wide, knurled, tangle-free gate can be worked with dry gloves, and the wide, rounded body slides onto a D-ring without hunting for the opening. A wide off-centre swivel puts the hand in a natural position, which makes mounting and removing stages and sidemount cylinders quicker. The 110 mm version has a multipurpose hole where rings can be fitted to identify the gas mix of a stage cylinder when visibility is too poor to read the label. The 80 mm version is the compact size. Both are marine-grade 316 stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and rust. They suit a technical or sidemount diver who handles cylinders and clips in cold water.
