Description

Divers who move onto a twin set need a wing that lets the air travel freely around the cylinders, or the extra gas and weight start to roll them. The Mares XR Donut Bladder Twin Tank is the one bladder Mares says a diver needs to buy when switching to doubles: its circular shape lets air circulate easily and be directed towards the valves. The dump valve can be placed on the left or the right to suit the diver's training, and the inflator sits in the middle so it stays clear of the first stage. Six large drain grommets, a heavy-duty plastic zipper with elongated teeth and four heavy-duty grommets positioned for trim go with a stretchy, low-profile oval corrugated hose and a K-style inflator. It comes in 20 kg (44 lb) or 24 kg (52 lb) of lift. That covers a first twin set, cold-water decompression diving, and a wreck diver who carries more gas. It suits a technical diver moving onto doubles.
