Mares XR Heavy Light Mounted System

Description

A one-piece webbing harness is the configuration most technical training is built around, because every strap and D-ring can be set once and then left alone. The Mares XR Heavy Light mounted system is that harness supplied complete on a 6061 marine anodised aluminium backplate, configured to Hogarthian principles. It uses 3.5 m of webbing with a central hole, three 40 mm elastic loops and a 1.5 m crotch strap. The hardware is 50 mm curved D-rings at the chest, 50 mm straight D-rings at the waist and under the crotch strap, sliding D-ring holders and a waist buckle. The aluminium plate is what makes the system light and easy to transport. That covers a diver building a first backplate and wing, a travelling technical diver watching bag weight, and a sidemount diver adding a backmount rig. It suits a diver who wants a traditional harness and plate ready to take a wing.
