Mares XR Mask Pocket

Description

A backup mask is useless if it cannot be reached, which is why technical and cave divers carry it in a pocket on the harness rather than deep in a drysuit. The Mares XR Mask Pocket was designed for that job. It is made of 1200D ballistic nylon with a 600D polyester weave, folds flat when empty and expands to take a spare mask, and it has an internal reinforcement in black polyurethane. Two loops let it slide onto the waist strap, and an oversized clip with a long nylon strap closes it while allowing full expansion. For a sidemount diver it keeps a spare mask at the hip, and for a boat diver it doubles as an extra pocket for a slate or small reel. It suits a technical or sidemount diver who wants a spare mask carried where it can be reached.
