OrcaTorch MC90 Magnetic Cable

Description

Magnetic charging exists to keep a socket out of a body rated to 150 metres, and the trade is that the lead becomes irreplaceable: no other cable in a dive bag will do the job. The MC90 is that lead for the D900V and D910V, and the only way either of them charges, which makes a second one cheaper insurance than a lost day of filming on a liveaboard. The head seats on the tail of the light by feel and holds itself there, so there is no plug to align in the dark and no port cover to leave open. Both lights take 12.6 volts at 2 amps, filling a 38 watt-hour pack in about 2 hours 30. It is supplied as the cable alone, without the mains adapter that ships with the light, and it does not fit the D950V, D630 or D860, each of which charges its own way. It suits a D900V or D910V owner carrying a spare lead.
