MC90 MAGNETIC CABLE

The OrcaTorch MC90 is the magnetic charging cable for the D900V and D910V video lights, and it is the only way to charge either of them. The magnetic contact replaces a charging socket, which is one fewer opening in a body rated to 150 metres.

The cable ends in a magnetic head that seats on the tail of the light by feel and holds itself in place. There is no plug to align and no port cover to leave open. Both lights charge at 12.6 volts and 2 amps, taking about 2 hours 30 minutes for a full 38 watt-hour pack. It fits the D900V and D910V only.

The result is a spare that stops a trip going wrong. A proprietary charging lead is the single point of failure on a magnetically charged light, because nothing else in a dive bag will substitute for it. A second cable costs less than a lost day of filming on a liveaboard.

Supplied as the cable alone, without a mains adapter, which ships with the light. It does not fit the D950V, D630 or D860, each of which uses its own charging arrangement. The B90 spare battery pack for the same two lights is listed separately.
