Aqualung Micro Squeeze Safety Blade

Description

Divers who have never cut themselves on a knife have usually never had to use one in a hurry, in poor visibility, with cold hands. A safety blade removes the point and leaves a short protected cutting edge, which is the pattern for a tool that will only ever be used against line and never against anything living. In the Micro Squeeze size it is 9.5 cm of blade at 18.4 cm overall, small enough to live permanently on a shoulder strap or a hose and be forgotten about until needed. The blade is 304 stainless steel, and the handle and sheath are nylon with fibreglass fill for impact and abrasion resistance rather than plain moulded plastic. The sheath releases by squeezing a ridged bolster, so it will not come out on an entry. It suits a diver who wants a cutting tool with as little risk attached to it as possible.
