Micromask X

Description

On a breath-hold descent the air used to equalise a mask comes out of the lungs, so mask volume is a direct tax on depth and time. The Micromask X is built to make that tax as small as possible. Aqua Lung's patented Micromask construction moulds lens, skirt and frame as a single piece, which lets the lens sit unusually close to the face, cutting internal volume while widening the field of view rather than narrowing it. A high-grade silicone skirt flexes along the contours of the face for a leak-free seal without heavy clamping pressure, which matters on repeated equalisation. Counterposed push-button strap adjustment is quick to set and holds, and it works with gloves on. That answers a depth session on a line, a spearfishing dive, and a snorkeller who dislikes clearing a flooded mask. It suits a freediver or a diver who wants the smallest mask that still gives a wide view.
