Description

Children give up on snorkelling when the mask fogs, floods or shows them a narrow slot of blue, and adult kit scaled down does all three. The Mix set is built for a smaller face instead. Its lens is Plexisol rather than glass, so it is shatter resistant and light, and it is curved rather than flat, which gives a genuinely panoramic 180 degree view instead of a letterbox. An anti-fog treatment does the job that spit and impatience usually fail at. The skirt is a soft Softeril compound that seals on a child's face without needing the strap hauled tight. The snorkel is a junior J tube with a soft TPR mouthpiece scaled for a smaller jaw and a flex section that lets it sit where the child's head is. That answers a family holiday, a swimming pool, and a first set before a junior course. It suits a child starting to snorkel.
