MIX JUNIOR COMBO

The Aqua Lung Mix Jr is a mask and snorkel set built for children, and the lens is the reason to choose it over an adult mask in a small size. It is Plexisol rather than glass: shatter-resistant, so a dropped mask on a poolside or a rock ledge does not become a hazard.

The lens carries an anti-fog treatment and is curved rather than flat, which gives a 180 degree view and takes away the tunnel effect that makes a child nervous about putting a face in the water. The skirt is a soft Softeril compound that seals on a small face without the pressure a stiff silicone skirt applies. The snorkel has a child-sized bore, so breathing through it does not feel like work, and a smaller bore leaves less water to clear. Mask and snorkel come with a bag.

The result is a first set that a child will keep wearing, rather than one that fogs, leaks and ends the swim.

Supplied in light blue or pink. Intended for children rather than teenagers or adults, who should size up to the Nabul or Hawkeye. Rinse in fresh water after use, because chlorine hardens the skirt faster than seawater does.
