Description

The first stage here is a balanced diaphragm rather than the flow-through piston used across the MK25 range, and the distinction is that a diaphragm keeps the internal mechanism away from the water it sits in. That is what lets a set this small carry EN 250A certification for cold water, so it is a travel regulator that is not merely a warm water one. The MK11 EVO is forged brass with metal thermal fins and plastic bumpers that take the knocks of a bakkie ride to a shore entry, on a double spring layout. Two high pressure ports sit at 15 degrees, all four low pressure ports are high flow, and intermediate pressure runs 9.2 to 9.8 bar. The C370 is air balanced in fibreglass-reinforced nylon with a stainless steel cover frame, and its large purge works through 5 millimetre gloves. It suits a diver who wants one set for travel and cold water alike.
