Description

Icy water and silty wrecks, rather than warm reefs, are what this pairing is assembled for. The MK17 EVO 2 is smaller and lighter than both the MK17 EVO before it and the MK19 EVO, using a forged body and a dry chamber on a twin spring layout, sealed by a dual diaphragm so only the outer face ever meets the water and grit stays outside the mechanism. The body rib is shaped to draw heat inward. Four high-flow low pressure ports and two high pressure ports at 15 degrees let the first stage sit either way up. In front of it the G260 puts metal at the cold-facing internal components, with a high-flow exhaust valve and a reversible hose attachment that turns the primary into a long-hose donor for a technical rig. The result is one set that dives a Cape kelp forest in winter and then a silted wreck without a strip down in between. It suits a technical or cold water diver running one regulator for both.
