Description

A family flying to a dive holiday has to watch the baggage allowance, so a junior rig needs to pack small and still handle cold water back home. This one combines the MK17 EVO 2/C370 Graphite regulator set, R105 octopus included, with a Rebel V2 junior jacket of about 2.53 kg, at SCUBAPRO set prices, and a Compact SPG or Compact Combo 2 can be added at set price. The C370 casing is compact, and its graphite front frame lifts off for any of six C370 colour frames, sold separately. Behind it, the air-balanced valve has an inhalation knob, a coaxial dive and pre-dive lever and a large purge. The MK17 EVO 2 is a sealed balanced diaphragm first stage with a dry chamber on a twin spring design, and its two high pressure ports at 15 degrees take a transmitter directly. The Rebel V2 draws in at the front around a wraparound bladder, with two zippered cargo pockets and a padded backpack. Gravity release weight pouches cost extra, so lead otherwise sits on a belt. It suits a family travelling with a junior diver who also dives cold water at home.
