Description

Silt and cold are what a wreck interior throws at a rig, and this pairing meets them with a sealed first stage and a harness that has nothing to snag a line. It is the MK17 EVO2/C370 regulator set with its R105 octopus on a 1 m yellow Super-Flow hose, sold with the S-TEK Pure system package at the SCUBAPRO set price, and either a Compact SPG or a Compact Combo 2 can join it at set price. The MK17 EVO 2 is a balanced diaphragm in forged chrome-plated marine-grade brass whose dry chamber keeps silt and cold water out of the mechanism, at 797 g in INT 232 and 9.2 to 9.8 bar intermediate pressure. The C370 primary is air balanced in fibreglass-reinforced nylon, and the R105 octopus has a hose attachment that reverses to either shoulder. On the S-TEK Pure, silicone epaulettes and guide bands are the only hardware above the 3D formed backplate, and the 13 kg Donut Wing lets air travel round instead of pooling at one end. Thirteen kilograms is the single-cylinder size. It suits a diver working cold, silted wrecks in a DIR configuration.
