MK2 EVO / R105 + R105 OCTO

This regulator set pairs the SCUBAPRO MK2 EVO first stage with the R105 second stage and adds a second R105 as an alternate air source. The MK2 EVO is a classic unbalanced piston first stage, the simplest design SCUBAPRO builds and the one with the fewest moving parts, which is why it turns up in rental fleets and as a first regulator.

The R105 second stage is a downstream design with a metal valve housing, a dive/pre-dive VIVA switch and a reversible hose attachment. Running the same second stage as both primary and octopus means one set of service parts and one familiar purge in an out-of-air situation, which matters more to a diver building a first kit than a marginal gain in breathing effort would. The octopus is supplied on a 1 m high-visibility yellow Super-Flow hose, so it can also be run on a pony or deco cylinder.
